Knowledge Before Booking
A practical guide from the GTH PRO travel editorial library.
Start with the participant rules
A family-friendly description is not enough to confirm suitability for every child. Check the actual minimum age, height, supervision rules, medical restrictions and whether infants are admitted. Different options from the same supplier can apply different terms.
Understand every included item
Transport pickup, child seats, meals, entrance tickets, safety equipment and stroller storage may be charged separately or not offered. If pickup is advertised, confirm the exact hotel address and whether travel from an airport or outside the city centre is excluded. Compare the full family total rather than a headline adult rate.
Keep travel days realistic
A long transfer plus an intensive excursion can be difficult for younger participants. Choose an activity with clear rest stops and a reasonable return time. Bring required identification and equipment without assuming the operator will provide them.
What to confirm before checkout
- Participant numbers and age bands match your group.
- Any required child safety equipment is confirmed in writing.
- Cancellation rules apply to the selected family ticket type.
- Meeting point, emergency contact and total currency are clear.
- Research destination guides, tours and hotel locations.
Only the actual supplier can confirm suitability, availability and refund conditions.
Important travel information
Prices, availability, entry requirements and cancellation terms can change. Confirm current details with the relevant official authority, airline or booking provider before making a purchase.
